Although not originally from Huddersfield, Sam is proud to have made it her home. From a performing arts background, Sam went on to become Marketing & Promotions Manager of Huddersfield Giants, using her creativity to devise and execute several high profile campaigns and run a variety of successful events.
For the last 15 years she has owned the award-winning Star Inn, Folly Hall; a successful, established real ale free house from which she launched an events company encompassing festival bars, catering and events management for such high profile gigs as Mumford and Sons and Underneath The Stars. In addition to this, she runs three annual beer festivals and hosts Summer balls, Weddings and various events at The Star Inn and other venues.
Sam is also heavily involved in various other outdoor events and is often called on to assist in a consultancy role including involvement with Stafflex and The Big Screen Weekends.
Always happy to be innovative and help others with their endeavours, her industry knowledge, promotional and event management skills and the respect and trust she has gained from her peers in the music and licencing industries make Sam an invaluable asset to the team.
Her love for Huddersfield and belief that the town deserves to be a vibrant, exciting place in which to live and work, and that all businesses should benefit and work together is why she feels so passionately about Huddersfield Live “The town and people have been so good to me over the years, it’s my turn now to try and give something back”

Tim Gledhill is a local businessman with interests in Industrial Property, Textile Manufacture and Bridging Finance, all of which are Huddersfield based companies. Having lived and worked in Huddersfield all his life, Tim wishes to put something back into the local community through a non-profit making organisation.
Knowing that local events such as the Huddersfield Food and Drink Festival, the Caribbean Carnival and the Festival of Light are in jeopardy owing to the current financial climate and Council cutbacks, Tim gladly accepted the invitation to join the Board of Huddersfield Live to help make a contribution to a very worthwhile cause. Being a life long Town and Giants fan Tim is immensely proud of the town and wishes to further his support by helping to bring a variety of events to Huddersfield catering for all tastes.
